From the Depths of the Abyss

From the Depths of the Abyss was inspired by Carlos Salas’s experience in Colombia’s Tatacoa Desert, where the artist perceived the night sky as a vast, three-dimensional space of extraordinary depth.

From this experience, Salas explores the abyss not as a void, but as a dimension that connects us to the infinite. The circular format breaks away from the traditional boundaries of the canvas, transforming the work into an immersive experience of space, depth, and perception.
